The Coming Health Wave
U.S. healthcare has entered into disequilibrium where small events will trigger disproportionate impact. Powerful macroeconomic forces are pushing down on the largest industry ever created by human beings, demanding attention and cracking status-quo business practices. Simultaneously, value-driven, consumer-based competitors are rising to challenge incumbents. Bottom line: the U.S. healthcare industry will change more in the next ten years than it has in the last one hundred. Author David Johnson will discuss the coming healthcare revolution and the transformative role self-insured employers can play by demanding more value for their health and healthcare purchases.
