Our work changes lives, and we show up each day driven by the knowledge that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. Fulfilling that purpose means being there for one another, for our Members, and for our mission.

At Transcarent, our values are more than statements. They’re the foundation of our culture, the spark behind our actions, and the reminder of why our work matters. Defining our values is not just an exercise. It’s our commitment to how we approach our work, support each other, and serve those who depend on us every single day. We do this by Putting People First, Caring with Purpose, Embodying Resilience, Achieving Impactful Results, and Being Humble and Human.

Putting People First

We exist to make health and care easier and better for the people we serve. Putting people first means listening deeply, understanding needs, and building trusted relationships. We are relentless in doing what’s right for our Members, clients, team, community, and investors.

Our EVP of Consultant Relations & Business Development, Tom Richards, recently shared, “It's about active listening to understand the other person, understand their needs, understand them as a person.”

Leading with heart ensures every person feels seen, valued, and supported, not only in their healthcare journey but in the workplace too.

Caring with Purpose

Care is more than compassion; it’s about showing up in the most genuine way for one another. We go the extra mile for the Members we serve to make them healthier. Every decision starts with a commitment to improving health and care for our Members. It means showing up authentically for our Members, their families, and for each other every single day."

Dr. Alan Roga, our Chief Clinical Officer, captured it perfectly, “Care is a sacred responsibility. Our Members share things with us they wouldn’t necessarily share with the most trusted friends and loved ones. We treat it with the honor and dignity it deserves.”

Embodying Resilience

Changing an industry isn’t easy. It takes courage, flexibility, and persistence. Resilience means we don’t give up when moments get hard, we stay focused and keep moving forward together. We push boundaries and take the uncharted path to change an industry.

Snezana Mahon, our President, highlights that "It takes resilience and it takes an entire team to make it happen. It can be done. We’re doing it now.”

Achieving Impactful Results

Results are about ownership, speed, and impact. We may not always get it right the first time, but we work hard to make it right. Results create momentum and translate into real health impact for our Members and clients.

“Ultimately, it's about achieving our goals, the quantifiable metrics that translate into real health impact for our Members and for our clients,” shares our Chief Financial Officer, Stephanie Peng.

Being Humble and Human

We lead with humility, humor, and humanity. We tackle problems, not people, and we go further together. We listen with empathy, speak with respect, and create space where every voice matters.
