Meet the Team: Nicolle Caudelle
This National Nurses Month, we’re excited to feature Nicolle Caudelle, a Nurse Care Coordinator & Triage Nurse from Atlanta, GA who helps Members navigate the healthcare system, understand their options, and overcome barriers to accessing seamless care.
From an early age, Nicolle drew inspiration from her great-grandmother, the first and only other person in her family to work in the medical field. Her grandmother shared stories of dedication, compassion, and resilience that left a lasting impression. That spirit of service planted a seed in Nicolle that grew into a deep calling for her to become a nurse.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nicolle worked as an Emergency Room Nurse. The high-pressure environment limited her ability to connect deeply with patients or support their full healthcare journey. Looking for a change, Nicolle decided to transition to a virtual care environment and joined Transcarent. “I find my role incredibly rewarding because it allows me to make a meaningful and continuous impact on Members’ lives.”
One way she’s achieving this is by being able to connect more people to high-quality, affordable health and care – faster. Nicolle recalls one instance when she was helping a Member do just that. She was working with a Member who found herself unable to find an in-network provider due to a change in insurance. The earliest appointment she could find was five months away, and she needed in-person care much sooner. Nicolle helped turn the Member's wait time for an appointment from months to days. “I know how discouraging and isolating the healthcare system can feel when you're navigating it alone, so I am grateful to help others in a way that’s meaningful and impactful.”
That moment reminded Nicolle why she loves nursing: “To me, nursing is not just a profession, it is a profound responsibility and privilege. I see nursing as a chance to be present in people’s most vulnerable moments, and to offer both care and comfort. Being a nurse means being a problem-solver, an advocate, and above all, a compassionate presence in someone’s most challenging moments.”
As advocates, educators, and caregivers, nurses have the power to build trust, close gaps, and drive change. Nicolle believes nurses are at the heart of a movement that's changing healthcare. “I’m proud to be part of a profession that continues to push boundaries and leads with heart.”
