Meet the Team: Kansas Jackson

Kansas Jackson is a Director of Enterprise Operations who turns strategy into action. She leads solutions programs and cross-functional initiatives that deliver better outcomes and experiences for Members and clients. In addition to this leadership role, Kansas is the Executive Sponsor of our H.O.M.E. (Veterans) Employee Resource Group (ERG).

“Being the Executive Sponsor of our Veterans ERG is truly an honor. This group isn’t just for veterans; it’s also for their families and people who support them. The ERG provides resources, networking, and a space to share experiences. Being part of it makes me feel my own service is honored, while giving me the opportunity to honor others and give back.”

Kansas joined the Army at 17 years old while still in high school. She was driven by a desire to serve, challenge herself, and be part of something bigger than herself. Over the past two decades, she has served in both active and reserve roles, including overseas deployments and senior leadership positions.

Kansas' civilian career began in social services and evolved into healthcare and IT, all centered around helping people access the care and resources they need. At Transcarent, she leverages her expertise with problem-solving and coordination to make healthcare more connected, efficient, and meaningful for Members.

“For me, it’s about aligning purpose with precision towards a mission that truly matters. It’s rewarding to know that the work we do has a lasting impact on individuals and families.”

Kansas prides herself on her leadership - setting clear expectations, empowering others to make decisions, and leading with empathy and accountability. The Army taught her that leadership is about people, not positions.

“It’s about taking care of your team, building trust, and ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed.”

Kansas’ advice to young people considering careers in the military and healthcare is this: “Both the military and healthcare offer something truly meaningful: the chance to serve others and make a difference every day. You’ll be challenged, you’ll grow, and you’ll learn what it means to be part of a shared vision. Whether you choose to wear a uniform or transform healthcare: lead with purpose, stay curious, and never underestimate the impact you can make.”
