Meet the Team: Nathan Cervantes

Nathan Cervantes is a Senior Clinical Operations Manager who supports our Members with navigating, triaging, and providing resources for their mental health needs.
Behind Nathan’s title as a Registered Nurse lies a deeply personal journey. While he was in nursing school, his grandmother was diagnosed with cancer, and he often accompanied her to treatments. The empathy and compassion shown by her nurses left a lasting impression on him. “That experience inspired me to always treat the people I care for as if they were family, offering them the same level of care, understanding, and kindness.”
Initially aspiring to be an oncology nurse, Nathan found his true calling in behavioral health. “I quickly fell in love with the field. Mental health support can make a huge difference in people’s lives, and it deeply moved me to be able to help people in this way.” Nathan's experience lit a fire in him to be the kind of nurse who brings comfort, strength, and hope to others – and deepened his connection to his Latin heritage.
His role on the behavioral health team allows him to educate and support Members before crises escalate and provide reassurance and a steady presence. Hearing, “thank you, you helped me get the support I needed,” fuels his passion to make a difference.
Nathan's leadership is defined by his commitment to exceptional care and creating an empowering culture for his team. To him, leadership means uplifting others, adapting through challenges, and being a steady, selfless guide. He believes real growth as a leader comes from listening to those you lead.
"Every interaction is an opportunity to grow not just with other leaders, but with anyone I work with. Some of my greatest growth has come from listening to and learning from the very people I lead.”
Nathan is a proud member of multiple employee resource groups (ERGs).
“These groups provide a safe space to celebrate culture, build connections, and access valuable resources and support. As a behavioral health nurse by training, it is deeply rewarding to engage in conversations that reduce stigma around behavioral health and see mental health discussed openly in the workplace, fostering awareness, inclusion, and a stronger culture of care.”
As the first in his family to attend college and pursue a career in medicine, Nathan takes great pride in being a Latino leader in healthcare. For Nathan, Hispanic Heritage Month is more than a celebration – it's about keeping his community at the heart of his purpose and uplifting others. “I feel a strong sense of responsibility and inspiration to other Latinos,” says Nathan. “My family and culture are central to who I am, and I love representing them in the healthcare space.”
